Charge 3 and phone stop talking after 2 minutes of running

How do I keep my fitbit App and Charge 3 talking to each other and tracking my run using the phone GPS. Not sure which has the problem, but I get a map showing about two minutes of run and the rest of the distance must be based on my stride length and how long I've been running.

I have tried restarting the phone and the watch before run but that made no difference; the track was about 1/4Km long but the distance was said to be 6.2Km when I know it was 5.8Km.

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for the time you spent trying to get them resolved.

In this case, I would recommend visiting this article, open the menu "How do I get my Fitbit device to connect to GPS?" and follow the troubleshooting steps.

In addition, please make sure Power Saving Mode or Battery Saver is turned off on your device. This mode frequently causes the device to disable Bluetooth.

Hope this helps.

I tried turning the battery saver on and back off and it's suffered less since doing that.

Thank you.
