Charge 3 background became white all of a sudden

Does anyone know what could have caused this? The background of my charge 3 became white/gray all of a sudden. This happened after battery almost empty (!) Displayed on screen. Changing the clock face does not help. 

Purchased my charge 3 on December 2018. Help please!

This just happened to my device as well. I noticed it in the wee hours of the morning. My battery is at 16% and currently charging. I'll try to change the clock face once it's charged.fitbitdisplay.jpg

You have to lodge a case with the fitbit team. They will replace your unit
if it is under warranty. Mine was replaced. Good luck

Same thing just happened to my Charge 3. Very discouraged after reading this thread. 
Lasted 13 months. Might be time to switch to an Apple product if Fitbit is a defective product. Too bad. 😕
