Charge 3 battery draining quickly and display has lines on it

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have 2 issues with my charge 3.

1 the battery has started to drain fast in within 7 hours after being fully charged. I have followed all the advise provided by the forum so not sure what else I can do.

2 the screen has lines through the font so the writing or numbers aren't clear.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Hi @SarahH0  For the battery have a look at THIS Help Article.

For the lines on the screen try several restarts, a Long Restart, and changing the clockface in the app.

If these dont help please come back here

Restart your tracker

CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

Hi there @SarahH0, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for troubleshooting your Charge 3's battery behavior prior to posting here.

Besides the great recommendations provided by my friend @NellyG, I was wondering where you charge your tracker? Have you checked if by any chance the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub. You can find more detailed information in the help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

As a friendly reminder, the following are some factors that have an impact on battery life and may cause your battery to drain more quickly:

  • Frequently checking the Fitbit app, which syncs your tracker
  • Frequently receiving notifications
  • Frequently checking your stats
  • Using Quick View.

If you still believe your battery is not lasting as long as expected, we’d like you to do a battery test to see how long your battery lasts after a full charge. Please do the following:

  1. Disable the features that can impact battery life as described here.
  2. Fully charge your tracker.
  3. Sync your tracker 5-6 times a day.
  4. Wear your tracker until it is fully depleted.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around and glad to further assist you.

Hi

Thanks for your suggestions. I have checked the USB and moved the charging to a different unit but get the same issue regarding the battery's life. As recommended I have amended the set up to minimise the usage.

I will conduct the battery test as per your other suggestion and let you know how I get on.

Hi @NellyG

Thanks for your suggestions, I have followed your advice and I am still experiencing the same issues.

I am going to conduct a battery test as recommended by @MarreFitbit, so let's see how that goes.

Hi @MarreFitbit

I followed your suggestions and haven't seen an improvement in the battery performance. Plus the screen visibility has got worse.

I did the battery test and it lasted from 10am to 7pm.

I think its time to send the fitback 😭
