Charge 3 battery draining quickly

Has anyone had any issues with the charge 3 battery. My charge 3 is a week old and needed a charge Sunday night. I charged it over night and in the morning it was showing 100%, I wore it all day Monday however early hours of this morning (Tuesday) by watch was dead. I’ve had to hold the buttons for 8 seconds for it to come on however it ran out of battery? I synced my watch and phone before bed and there was over 80% battery. Has anyone’s else done this?

Hi.. my Fitbit charge 3 is facing battery issues. It is draining from 100% to 4% in hours.

I've already tried restarting as you've recommended. But there has been no improvement.

Please help

If it is still under warranty contact the Fitbit customer service and check on this forum a lot of people have had this issue. I returned mine went back to my charge 2 and a year ago got the Versa - love it! No issues at all!

My hubby's Fitbit Charge 3 is dying everyday, and its not like it is getting used a lot....due to this quarantine, we are in the house a lot.  We have talked to Fit bit support site, and they said to reset it.  It flashes back and forth to another screen.  It worked right for one day, now its back to the same craziness.  They are not cheap to be getting these problems

My Fitbit Charge 3 started draining more quickly within the last couple weeks. Now it drains immediately And I can’t even use it. It’s so frustrating because it’s not that old but probably not under warranty anymore. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting options. I don’t want to buy another one if this is going to happen again. Any hope that this could be fixed?

I’m going to see if they will send me a replacement
Charge 3 was expensive and not fair that it charges but it dies in one day.

I haven’t wore a fitbit since Christmas. Apple Watch was the best thing ever.

Thanks

I do not have a Fitbit Charge 2 or 3 I went with the Versa and Have been really happy with it. My best answer is to contact their customer service for advice - I had really good success with them and from previous comments most people do. Good Luck!

I did the same thing one year ago. Problem solved. I was sick and tired of all the bugs my Fitbit had, while many of them had not been resolved for more that 2 years. Apple Watch just works.

@Will999 @CJD21 It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Charge 3 battery not holding a charge. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

Let me know how it goes.

Has there been a resolution to this issue .. Just yesterday, after a complete charge, my Charge 3 started discharging at a rate that the battery dies in <20 minutes.  I have had this fitbit for 1 1/2 years. I had another fitbit before this and thought I'd upgrade....multiple problems but this one is the worst and renders this device unusable.  I followed (or verify settings) in all steps listed in the post "Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?" as suggested by AlejandraFitbit in message #49 of this thread.  PLEASE HELP!

I’ve tried this and it doesn’t help. My Fitbit Charge 3 has worked perfectly fine since I got it for Christmas in 2019 and starting earlier this week it’s died within 24 hours of charging it to 100%. Today it has died within hours of fully charging it and when I restart it, the battery will go down under 10% even if it was at 100%.
