Charge 3 battery life, problems with HR tracking and notifications

My charge 3 is just over a year old and within the last week has started having a number of issues. To begin with, the battery life is so awful. I just charged it to 100% earlier this evening and within 2 hours the battery has dropped to 58%! I’m having to charge nearly every single day even though I follow all the recommended settings to extend battery life.
My Charge 3 has also stopped notifications despite having them turned on. No text, phone call, 10k step accomplishment or move notifications happen anymore.
Lastly, the Charge 3 will randomly stop tracking heart rate even though it’s turned on and I’m wearing it properly. I have to do a full reboot to get it to begin tracking again, as syncing doesn’t help. I’ve had to reboot my device 3 times in the last week alone!
very disappointed in all of the issues the Charge 3 has presented. I had my Fitbit Alta for 4 years, and now of course my charge is 2 months beyond the warranty and looks like it won't work.

I am having the same issues with mine. no notifications, battery only last a few days and it has completely stopped registering workouts. This is my second one and both have started having issues as soon as the hit the year mark.

Hello @kelsey0040. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for the detailed information. For notifications, I recommend reviewing the following help article: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? And make sure that the Fitbit App for your mobile device is up to date

Also, please perform a long restart to your Charge 3 by following the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

Lastly, for tips about how to maximize the battery life, please check: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Hope this helps.
