Charge 3 battery not charging

My charge 3 battery won’t charge anymore. When I put it in the charger the smiley shows up in the display followed by the battery icon with the number 255 in it. And then it starts up but doesn’t charge. If I take it off the electricity, it completely powers off. I have read and tried everything in the section “why is your device battery not charging?”
please help!

I purchased my Charge 3 in February of this year; it has been a great device until recently. It quit receiving a charge and is now dead. I tried the following:

- Cleaning the back/charging port with a swab and alcohol

- Cleaning the charger the same way

- Restarting the device 

- Switching the charger to several different USB ports

- Testing the charger with a voltage detector - it seems to be working 

 

I don’t know if there’s anything else I can do to revive it
