Charge 3 battery not charging

Hi, 

I took my fitbit off and forgot to put it back on overnight. When I picked it up the next day the battery was dead. I tried to charge it and the screen lit up but it wouldn't hold the charge. I left it to charge for 2 hours and as soon as I took it out the charging cradle the screen went blank as if the battery was dead. I have synced it, I have left it to charge over night, I have restarted it etc and nothing is working. I haven't had it a year yet. Any help out there? I don't know where the paperwork for it is but I have the receipt from amazon.
