Hi, my Charge 3 has started loosing charge within less than 4 hours of being fully charged making it unusable. The issue first appeared after swimming, however I have swam wearing charge 3 numerous occasions before without issue.
The device was originally purchased as a Christmas present last year, and I have already received one replacement due to a screen/display issue. Very disappointed with product reliability as not even lasted 12 months!

Hi @mikamola, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for reporting your Charge 3's behavior.
I'd recommend restarting your device. Then, let your Charge 3 to run out of battery to charge it again. Keep an eye on it to see how the battery goes. You can see: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
We recommend to charge your trackers via the USB port over a wall adapter. However, it is also possible to charge your Fitbit tracker with a UL certified wall adapter. What may actually cause damage to the tracker's battery (either on a computer or a wall adapter) is the charging time, which if excessive over time may damage the battery and therefore cause quick battery drain or prevent the tracker from charging at all.
Tips to best charge Fitbit trackers are:
For charging purposes, your charging cable can be plugged into any USB power source, including but not limited to:
Give this a go and let me know the outcome.

Hi - thanks for your response. I have tried your suggestion and unfortunately the battery no longer appears to hold any charge. I have attached to the charging cable (the original which came with the device) and it registered the connection - showing the battery charging image, and then displays the correct time, but a few minutes after disconnecting the device is completely dead and unresponsive. I have tried charging via both laptop and wall charger.
Prior to having this issue, the battery used to last around a week, and I have not changed any settings which would impact battery life. I also did not leave my fitbit charging for excessive amounts of time in order to limit the time I was not wearing it.
Thanks

I'm having the same issue, since a month or so ago, sharp decrease in battery life of my Charge 3. No change in charging or usage patterns. Before it would last about a week now it lasts about 2 days, seemingly getting worse and worse rapidly. It just reached a year in age and the sudden big decrease in battery life.

I've got a similar problem I just sent off via email to support.
I've been laid up injured so using charge 3 "A LOT" less than previous and I'm down to about 12 hours battery compared to the normal 4 to 5 days. Recharge it and by 20h00 at night its dead like Brexit support.

For more than a week now I have to keep charging my charge 3 every morning because it’s always dead when I wake up. I disabled some features but still the same thing. I got this for Christmas last year. The battery usually lasts for a week. Suddenly jumped to just a day of using it and it dies. Pretty disappointed.

Charge 3 has been having issues since swimming on Sunday. First the battery fully died. Battery was recharged and no life. Decided to hide it in rice for 24 hours, then recharge. Removed device from app, then after charging added it back. It seemed to work, wore it to bed then this morning it started pulsing, I thought I was getting texts, I checked and there was no display. Put device on charger and it is quickly "charging" and finally after trying numerous times to reset I finally got the reset (smile).
I have not changed the way use the device and have been swimming with the Charge 3 in the past with no issues. What is going on?

I got my Charge 3 about 1.5 years ago and its charge became terrible all of a sudden a month or two ago. Now I charge it all day, put it on right before bed (since I care most about sleep tracking) and if I have a reasonably good night's sleep, it's dead by the time I wake up (<7 hrs). Before then it would last for about 5 days. It's odd how suddenly the battery life dropped...
