Charge 3 black lines on the screen

I've had my charge 3 since Dec 2019 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have had minor issues in the past of screen timing out and going blank and was able to hard reset it no problem. A week ago I noticed lines distorting the screen image. Three days ago my charge 3 went blank. I tried the hard reset and only felt vibration with a blank screen. I've tried various reset methods (found in the forums) to include  cleaning the connections, still not resetting or working. Plz help.

Hi

I have the exact same issue. I have my charge 3 since Christmas 2019 and within the last week, the top half of the screen is gaining more and more blackout lines, so much so that I can barely read it now. I have reset it, changed the clock settings and completed all the trouble-shooting tasks as mentioned above and in other forums. Can you please advise.

Many thanks,

Jill Horan

Hi there

I’m having the same issue with a fuzzy white screen and black lines on my Fitbit charge 3 screen.

I have followed the trouble shoot advice with rebooting and changing the clock face and nothing has worked for me.

The Touch screen appears to stick and not work all the time and today it seemed to get stuck with the notifications buzzing against my wrist all day which has drained the battery all the way down as well

any help is gratefully received as I’m gutted it’s not working as it should. I got mine December 2018

Exactly the same has happened to me, started yesterday. Reset, re-synced and changed the clock face.
I have also noticed the device is randomly lighting up on different screens when it’s not touched and not always reacting properly when it is.

Got it as a present for Christmas 2019.

I am having the same problem - there are 2 horizontal lines across the top part of my Charge 3. I have tried all of the suggestions listed (restart, long restart, update and change clock face) but nothing has worked. My watch is still under warranty so how do I go about getting a replacement?

Hi , I am having the exact same problem with the black lines on my Fitbit . This only started this morning and I have tried all the tips suggested but so far no luck . I only bought my Fitbit in May so I’m a bit disappointed. I was really impressed with it until today . Can anyone suggest what to do next ?  Thank you .

Hi, I've been having this issue and tried resetting with no success. I've tried changing my clock face and the problem has persisted.

I too have this problem. I've updated firmware, done hard reset, changed clock and face. Getting worse not better.  Frustrated user. Thinking of switching to Garmin.

Contact Fitbit through a live chat... mine was in warranty and within a couple of days I had my replacement

Ros - I'll contact them but my warranty will have expired.  Sadly, the HR2 was nothing but problems  - the strap kept breaking at the watch and Fitbit was great - they replaced it, but I was hopeful this one would be better and now this - the lines are ridiculous!  I can barely read my time on it.  When I changed the clock, the LCD was so dull I couldn't read it either!  So because of my history with Fitbit, I'm seriously considering switching brands.  I love the watch when it works - but it's too pricey to keep having to buy a new one.  Thanks for getting back to me!

I have had the same issue and read through this forum a few days ago. Since then, I have tried the reset where the smiley face is supposed to show. It never did. I held the button down for 30 seconds a few different times with it plugged into the charging cable. It never displayed a smiley face and did not fully shut down. I have changed the clock face and the lines seem even worse on the face I chose. The tracking does not seem overly affected, but I have had issues with the stairs not recording correctly. Any help that can be provided by a moderator and/or the Support Team would be greatly appreciated.
