Charge 3 black screen and not charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

I got my Charge 3 back in January of this year. It stopped working some weeks ago. The screen is black but it still vibrates when I press the button.

However, when I try to charge it, leaving it charging for a long time, in the app it still shows that the battery is empty.

I've tried troubleshooting with the info from the forums, resetting it, changing clock face and all that, but the screen is still black.

Any help would be appreciated.

Similar, black screen too but mine charges and syncs fine, all stats upload to the app just can't see anything on my wrist.  Completed an update, tried the resets and clock faces to no avail....

@Ricky6 I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 stopped working and won't turn on. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am here to help. Please confirm if you've tried the following:

1. The complete troubleshooting instructions at Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

2. Confirm that your device's firmware is updated: How do I update my Fitbit device?

3. Long restart:

  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

If your tracker is not syncing, please check our tips at Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Hello @LiliyaFitbit, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I couldn't proceed with the instructions provided given the fact that they require my battery to be working (such as updating firmware and sync), but my battery keeps displaying Battery Empty. It still vibrates and all but I can't see anything on the display. I've tried many links and forums but no luck. 😞

I have the exact same issue, tried the quick and long reset, but still won't turn on. This problem only happened after the firmware update.
What options do I have?
