My charge 3 just has this black screen. Vibrates when I push the button. No restart is working.
Tried clipping it to charger, holding button for 15 secs, taking it out of the charger, putting it back in. Still, nothing. Just a blank. Wondering if this is just an issue and if I could get it replaced. Had it just around 5 months

I have been experiencing the same problem. My Fitbit originally had horizontal lines going through the display face before going totally black. I have tried numerous different restarts as well as trying to change the clock face. My Fitbit still vibrates and still records data thankfully but I have been meaning to contact customer service for over a week now.

Bought charge 2 for my gf many years back, then upgrade for her again in 2018 to charge 3, then I took the charge 2 for myself and I use it until now.
The charge 3 quality is really bad, have a lot issues like black screen and half screen black... when under warranty already exchange with new set after black screen, but after not long black screen occur again...
While for charge 2 still working fine until now in 2020... so it seemed like downgrade from charge 2 to charge 3...

Hi,
I've tried to connect the Charge 3 but to no avail. The device still vibrates but I am unable to access it from my app nor use it at all.
Is this a bug? Or is it just broken at this point.

My Charge 3 also has a black screen. Was working fine until yesterday afternoon. The lights are off on the back. It still vibrates, but none of the listed fixes are working.
I've had it since January and this is the first time I've had any problems.

I'm experiencing a similar issue as @Katya11100 and @Terence35
The middle section of the screen was one or two pixels off center. I plugged it in to restart is, as anytime I have issues with the screen I do a restart and it sorts it out. This time however, when I did the 15 second restart the screen went completely blank and I haven't been able to fix it since. I've done the 15 second restart a few times and tried the clock face change. I've also let the watch run completely flat and then plugged it in to charge. And none of it seems to work.
It still vibrates and is syncing and tracking, so it's just the screen that's blank. It's just out of warrantee as I bought it in June 2019.

My Fitbit Charge 3 is doing the same after the last update. black screen no smiley, vibrates on charger. 😞
purchased Jan 2019
changed clock face, tried the steps above, bluetooth is still working and is tracking steps only

I am having the same problem. Black screen, vibrates and syncs. Tried rebooting a few times, changing the clock face, etc. Nothing is bringing the screen back. When I press the button it does vibrate. What next to try/do?

Hi,
Similar problem happened to me over the weekend. Charge 3 now has a blank face. It does vibrate when I press side button. The restart by plugging in and holding button down doesn't work (usually it did). I tried changing clock face too but it doesn't change. PLEASE HELP!! Love this device and want to be able to track different exercises asap! Thanks!

Have same problem with my Charge 3. After last update had a line at top of display. Now black screen, vibrates on button push, tried 8 second button push on charger, many many many times, tried 15 second button push on charger many many... many times. Nothing. No smiley face ever appears. Won’t even sync now. Just buzzes on button push. That’s all. Because it won’t connect can’t try watch face change. Is this a software problem? Green light isn’t lighting anymore either.

I've been having the same problem. Tried all steps when connecting the fitbit to the laptop. But only a sad face on the screen.

I've had my charge 3 less than a week and same thing happened to me, went blank, blue tooth recognizes charger 3 but won't pair! I'm ready to cut my losses of $120 and throw it in the garbage!!!

I am having the same problem with my Fitbit.
Screen is blank, vibrates when push button and counts steps as they come up on my Fitbit app but just a blank screen.
Have tried the long restart, changing clock face, charging etc but nothing seems to work.
Only have it 7 months.
