Charge 3 black screen

Sometime between 6am-10am my Fitbit Charge 3 just stopped working. The screen is black and the button is unresponsive. I have had issue in the past few weeks where it would randomly do this but only for a few minutes at a time. It has now been hours and my Fitbit never turned back on. I followed the steps in the troubleshooting and plugged my Charge 3 into my PC but it still never turned back on.

 

Please help!

Thank you. I have given up on Fitbit..still using it for tracking as it still works. Gonna change to Apple Watch soon I guess..

Yep it is. Even FitBit support cannot give me an answer why the screen is blank. So looks like I’m gonna give up on fitbit.

Amazing how most of us were offered a lousy discount on defective watches a little over a year old while others were given replacements.

Is there any other way of resolving this? I have had the screen of death for over a week now and tried to reboot multiple times from multiple power sources.
Any more suggestions? 
I fear this is the end of this device.

I'm sorry to tell you it is the end. If you've had it less than a year they'll replace it.

Contact Fitbit... they finally had to give in and replace mine.

Haha. I did that but mine’s out of warranty and they won’t do anything. Anyway like I decided, this will be my last Fitbit.

Mine will still sync, however, I have lost my wake screen and have to click the side button to even see the watch face. This occurred the last time I charged my Charge 3. Tried rebooting it 3 times on the device itself but can't seem to get the wake screen back.

I went to support for the same thing. It turned on for a few hours and then went back to a black screen with no vibrations and no response to any sort of reboot. Please help.

Hi. I found support from fitbit very disappointing.

I plugged it in to charge, disconnected after a fewinutes, pressed the
sides and felt the vibration.

Had to try a few times for it to work

Tried several time to recover screen as per instructions found here. Data is still syching and updating, but have back screen even after holding button 8 sec while on charge. Fitbit Charge 3 is 7 months old, never been wet.  Very disappointed to find that the previously available clock faces are no longer in the App. Can't change clock face as another way of trying to recover screen. Where are the Charge 3 clock faces?

Help! I’m having the same issue. I tried changing the clock face and reboot....no luck. All these people having the same issue sounds like an update needs added or an extended warranty/replacement honored.

After unsuccessfully working with customer service to fix my Fitbit, they offered a discount on a new Fitbit.  I declined.  Purchased another brand of activity tracker.

A few days ago my display was off centre, so i reset it and the screen went blank. It is still syncing and vibrating 10 mins before the hour if not done 250 steps, but screen black.

 

I contacted fitbit support and did all the resetting etc, but nothing. They are sending me a new one.

 

My concern is what the issue is and could this reoccur

Hi there. I also have concerns about the same issues happening again. Like you, I went through the steps with Fitbit support, although screen was mostly unresponsive. I have a free replacement on its way. Guess it is now wait and see.Thank you for your reply.Sent from Samsung tablet.

In the app on your phone or computer you can find additional clock faces to use.
