Charge 3 blacks out “dies” unconnected

My Charge 3 was wirking fine. I do not sync continously, just once or twice a day.  Yesterday morning I noticed it was suddenly not working, it was “dead”., although it had been charged recently. Connected it to charger and it “came back”, showed happy face... and about 80% battery... but died again as soon as I disconnected it from charger. The phone app does not even recognize it. So, I “synchronized and updated” from the App and even restarted the monitor while connected. It worked, kept working when I disconnected... but soon “died” again, probably when I closed the phone App. Did this several times, the happy face always comes up as soon as I connect it to the charger, but it “dies” again if it is disconnected. Again, battery seems fine and never showed symptoms of going out sooner that usual. I see many recent problems with the recent updates, perhaps this is tje reason it seems to work when synchronized and updated, but still “dies” again later. PLEASE HELP!!!

I have the exact problem. just got off phone with tech support. They were unable to do anything but offer me 25% off a new device. Mine is only 17 mo. old.

  • Hmmm... fool me once... twice, no thank you! If I need to buy a new one, I will not buy a Fitbit anymore... first one I bought came with known issues, so they sent me a new one... now this recent problem out of the blue... I would hate to think they almost want the monitors to malfunction eventually! I would not waste good money on another one and would switch brands, even if I need to spend a little more, but it will probably last longer!
