Charge 3 blank screen and it only vibrates

I have a charge 3 and I can’t get it to do anything but vibrate when I push the button on the side of it. I plugged it up last night and it showed a smiley face.

Got it off the charger this morning and it continues to have a black screen but still vibrates when I push the side button. It used to flash a light on the underside when I would take it off. Now it doesn’t even do that ?

Welcome to the Community Forums @Darinscharge3! Thanks for trying to restart your Charge 3 to solve the issue with the screen.

 

If the restart doesn't work, since your Charge 3 is vibrating (and maybe syncing as well), please try changing the clock face to a different one. This process is done through the Fitbit app, so don't worry if you don't see anything on the display by now.

Hi. I tried to change clock face.
But I can’t get it to sync ! So at this point it won’t sync so I can’t
trouble shoot anything or try to make any adjustments to fix it.
It still has a black screen and does nothing but vibrate when I press the
button on the side.

Hello, I have the same issue with my Charge3. Sometimes it is vibrating, but not starting the screen and without working sensors at the bottom. How can I contact some Fitbit support?

Right now I’m waiting on Fitbit to give me some direction. I think they are
creating a case for me.

Please try changing the clock face to a different one. As mentioned, this process is done through the Fitbit app, so don't worry if you don't see anything on the display by now.

Hello,

Charge3 is not visible on the Bluetooth. Also is not reacting with
vibration by pressing the button. I am putting on the charger to PC, but
there is still any reactions. Sometimes, but very rarely is appearing a
smile on display by connecting to charger.

My charge 3 is not displaying anything, only vibrates when I push side button. It will not reboot or sync. Changing clock face did not work(syncing issues). Also will not vibrate when put on charger.

Having the same issue as the others. Black screen, no sensor lights, occasionally vibrates, and unable to sync.

I am now also experiencing the same issue as the others. Initially started out with the Fitbit unable to sync, then when I followed the troubleshooting tips no luck there. Then tried to reinstall the device and pair it up again but found that while it saw the Fitbit, it would not pair (tried this several times over the past month) and now the Fitbit screen has gone blank, still vibrates and has no green light on the display. I cannot change clock face on app as the Fitbit would not pair to it so I apparently have bought an expensive vibrator not a tracker.

Mine is collecting dust some where at the house. It seems like Fitbit is
more interested in selling them than replacing them.
Don’t have the time to jump thru all the hoops! Seems like it would be
pretty simple to send a return turn package to you. And then they could
determine whether it is repairable !
Or if they should replace it with comparable model. Good luck !

Mine is doing this exact thing. I have tried to change clock face, but have a sync issue. Need new software but have sync issue. Have restarted both devices several times. Watch isnt even showing up on pairable devices on my phone. Vibrates every time I touch the side. Gives me momentary smiley when first plugged in. Please help!

I don’t know what the issue is with the charge 3 model ?
I have spoke to several people that have had the exact same problem or
something very similar to ours. I had my charge 3 less than a year before
it started acting up ! It would be nice if Fitbit would back up there
product and replace or repair them ! I have had no luck getting Fitbit to
offer any type of help ! Good luck !!!

I have had my fitbit since May 2019 and I love it. Yesterday it stopped lighting up. It is still syncing with my app, but no display.  I tried both types of reset and changed the screen, but still no smiley face or display.

have you received a fix? my does not work, sync or restart, it only vibrates when i am pushing the button

Purchased two charger 3 at Xmas.  Have only achieved setting one up.  This now doing exactly this.  I'm just about to go to the trading standards as the item is not fit for purpose!
