Charge 3 blank screen and it only vibrates

I have a charge 3 and I can’t get it to do anything but vibrate when I push the button on the side of it. I plugged it up last night and it showed a smiley face.

Got it off the charger this morning and it continues to have a black screen but still vibrates when I push the side button. It used to flash a light on the underside when I would take it off. Now it doesn’t even do that ?

I went to this forum and this topic because I have the same problem. If I look for support here in the Netherlands I only see this forum and twitter for support. Can you tell me where you found a phone number? Or which number you used for tech support?

Hi Maria, 

I've tried the 8 second 15 second resets, plugging out the charger as instructed. I've  also tried changing the clock face. It has not helped. I can see the device is syncing ok.

Please help, my watch is only 15 months old. Very disappointing if it's not fixable.

I overlooked these options, but with your help I found the phone number I needed and just reached a service employee that helped me with the problem.

He liked to confirm the following checks:

1-Changing the clock settings, as described before

2-Connecting to a charger and making sure the battery is charged for at least 50%, before the restart is done by pushing the button on the side of the Charge 3 for 8 seconds, and later even 15 seconds.

He could confirm most of the things I described from the database with my account.

 

Unfortunately it's not possible to repair the Charge 3 by resetting or other tricks. It is still in the warranty period, so I will get an e-mail with which I can probably obtain new one.

fitBit charger 3 has blank screen and vibrates. Have tried to reset but doesn’t work. Also tried to reset clock but say Fitbit is not contacted.

I have the same problem right now.  I just vibrated at pulses, and now now the pulses seem to be at a faster pace,  cannot sync and cannot turn it off, of course the face is blank.

I had mine for 13 months when I started having syncing issues.  I spent two hours on chat.  Numerous emails back and forth to no avail.  They wanted to give 25% towards a new one (which isn't viable).  I paid $149.00 for my Charge 3 only to have it worthless in a little over a year.  What a waste of money.  I'm diabetic and used mine faithfully everyday but I refuse to spend money like that every year for nothing.  Mine does nothing now.  When I push the side button in it vibrates as long as I have the button pushed it.  No smiley face, no nothing.  I did get a smiley face in February but as soon as I tried to sync it to my phone it just went black again.  Not sure how this company will sustain itself when there appears to be a problem which is vastly getting worse.

Having the same problem.

Blank screen, not syncing or connecting, vibrates when touching the button but doesn’t when plugged into the charger.

 

This was a replacement pebble that I received last month.

Having exactly the same issue with my Charge 3. Has been fine for 18 months then suddenly only buzzes when button is held in or no response at all. Used the reset option a couple of days ago and was fine yesterday. Put it on charge last night and completely dead again this morning. Buzzes sometimes but won’t reset and unable to change clock face because it’s not connecting to the app!  Very rarely comment on sites like this but it seems that so many people are having this issue at the moment that Fitbit need to know. 
Just signed up to try Premium out - don’t think that’s caused the problem but I won’t be subscribing if the device doesn’t work anymore!

My fitbit charge 3 is showing a black screen, it is charging and the green light At the back of the watch does flash sometimes.
It does vibrate when i long press the on/off button.

Ive tried syncing it with my phone, but that does not happen

Ive heard that changing the clock face does work but i cannot do that as my fitbit isn’t syncing.

Please help !

Tried calling them with these issues, was disconnected 3 times after being on hold. They claim to try and call back, never happened. Well that was a waste of my time. They need to get this resolved ASAP. Obviously other people are having problems too. I tried rebooting and everything else suggested. Holding and waiting, plugging in etc nothing worked. I am really disappointed. It is not working at all!

I have exact challenge with my charge 3 , I have tried to reset as advised on several forums and it has not switched on, it’s frustrating

I have the same issue. Blank screen, buzzing noise when I hit the button. I did both the 8 second and 15 second resets.  My fitbit Charge 3 is already a replacement, only maybe from January, because my original one died.  But because the original one was purchased slightly more than a year ago, it's not under warranty.  The customer service agent said there is nothing they can offer me but a discount on a new device.  Um, no.

Return it if you can and get something else. My Charge 3 has rarely worked right. It was replaced once during the warranty period. Just outside the warranty period I was offered 25% a new device. I will NEVER buy another Fitbit.

Have tried resetting. Get smiley face but nothing works. Still blank face and hear it make noise but nothing I've tried works .  I have charge 3

I’m having this exact issue. I’ve tried to restart it. I restarted my phone. App didn’t need updating. First this morning I noticed the time was an hour off. Then it wouldn’t sync. Then when I tried to disconnect Bluetooth it can’t find it anymore. Now just a black screen and it vibrates when I hold the button. Nothing comes up.

Good luck. My Charge 3 was 18 months old and had already been replaced once. Without an extended warranty I was told the only option was to buy a new one. There was actually another option-- go without. I can't and shouldn't have to buy a new one every 18 months. I'll never buy another Fitbit.
