Two more things to try. A long restart and changing the clockface in the app (which may not work if it is not syncing, but give it a try). If these two dont help please come back here for further assistance.
CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

I‘m having pretty much the same problem. My screen is black, no reaction when pushing the button, not charging (although turning really hot when in the charging device), and it can‘t be found via Bluetooth.
Yesterday my watch went all crazy, started vibrating and flicking through different images, not reacting to anything. Today I went hiking, the same think happened again, only this time a happy face showed up on my screen. Initially it vibrated when I pushed th button and the happy face was shown, but then at some point it seemed to have completely turned off. Nothing seems to help. A restart hasn’t worked (neither a short nor a long one). When connecting it to the charging device there‘s no vibration and no reaction to anything.
What might be the problem?

I have had the same problem except mine is still syncing to my fit bit app.
Never have I had a tracker with so many issues.
I followed your directions and still, the screen is black, it will not do a restart. How else can this issue be resolved?

Welcome on board @marebear1974 and @Bihe3765! Thanks so much for all the steps you tried in order to solve the issue with your Charge 3 screen.
I've seen both of you got in touch with our Support Team after posting here. I'm glad to hear the issue was already solve.
Thanks for your help @NellyG!
Welcome to the Community Forums @Lou_B! Thanks for following the tips and recommendations provided here. Nice way to go!
Since your Charge 3 is still syncing, I'd recommend changing the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display.
Give this a go and let us know the outcome.

@MarreFitbit Thanks for your comment and your Way to go! but following the instructions did not work, I'd rather someone give an explanation as to why this has happened and how the issue with your not cheap product can be rectified.

Gidday,
I'm getting the same sorts of problems.
Did the 8 second reboot. Get the smiley face, then nothing.
Did the longer reboot. Got the bar across screen. Disconnect and reconnect to charger, get the smiley face, then nothing.
Can't connect to my App. Fitbit doesn't show up on blutooth.
So, can't change the clockface or anything.

I am having the same issues. I have an open case with Fitbit but have misplaced the number. I have done everything that has been suggested through that chat and this thread. I am very frustrated since my Fitbit is not even a year old. Please instruct me what to do at this point. I hope this can be resolved.

Ok, I’ve done everything. Deleted and reinstalled the Fitbit app; changed the clock face and held down the button for 15 secs while attached to charger and plugged in - no smiley faces and still blank screen. Anything else to try? I have a charge 3.

The same has happened to me. It was fine last night, but blank screen this morning. I’ve tried changing the clock face multiple times. I’ve tried the short and long resets. Nothing has worked.

Mine is having this exact same issue.
-I’ve tried the hard reset. (To no avail)
- impossible for change the clock face as it won’t even connect to my phone.
The device is plugged in. Black screen, vibrates when I press the button. But nothing else.
What a disappointing product. I’ve had nothing but issues with it since I first started it

Last night Fitbit Support suggested I buy a replacement Fitbit as my current product was now out of warranty (expired in December 2019). I also learnt that Fitbit does not have repair centers nor does it recycle old fitbits -- so millions of little bits of electronics and plastic filling garbage heaps and/ or polluting our oceans.
I was loath to give up and decided to keep wearing the Fitbit so long as it was working and syncing up with the app. And guess what? an hour ago the clock face turned itself on and the screen is now working!!! Not sure how long this will last but good for now.
