Charge 3 blank screen and it won't respond to anything

fitbit has blank screen...when attached to charger no battery appears...when attempting to reset...buttons buzz...but nothing else happens...happy face appears occasionally...won't sync to phone app.

Well on my 3rd fitbit charge 3 now, seem to last around a year, though the 2nd one fell into a shredder as the strap broke again. Now I have a fitbit with a blank display that works otherwise. Tried short, long reset and clock change to no avail, so looks like I will keep using as is for now untill this one too fails, then no more, they have had all the money they are getting from me.

Shame as I like what it does, but straps are awful and device is just not robust enough for someone who works!

This is happening to me also, did you manage to resolve the problem? I've done short and long resets, changed the clock face but still have a blank screen. So frustrating.

I bought a FitBit Charge 3 in January 2020 and late last year it stopped working. A replacement was sent but now the screen on my Fitbit is black and it won’t sync to my phone. I tried the restart and changed the clock face. Nothing has worked. It is so disappointing. I have been using fitbits for 6 years.  I have used a flex, charge1, charge2, and ionic.the charge 3 is definitely the most problematic one I have used. I am so disappointed.

Well mine flickers into life every so often, it is a connection inside. It is still working so far, but can only use via phone, so no display or readouts, so dissapointed.

My screen died so could only access data via my phone so I contacted fitbit who investigated. Mine was just out of warranty but was offered a very generous discount on a new one.Sent from my Galaxy

My charge 3 is having the exact same problem as @Punky71


It completely spazzed out and buzzed a ton while flashing images to the whole time. Now, it is completely black, won’t sync to the Fitbit app, won’t buzz or respond to the button, and won’t charge. 

I tried to reset it but nothing happens. Please help!!!

I contacted FitBit and they did send a replacement. It was still less than 12 months old. The replacement also stopped working and I decided to buy a charge 4. I honestly don’t think the aCharge 3 is any good. Contact FitBit and advise them of your problem. Best of luck.

Same here. I've had 2 Charges - both did this. But I went ahead and bought one for each of my daughters. One had to get a new one sent a month after and now my other daughter's charge is doing the same thing. I bought myself a Versa and it's been ok. So I'm wondering if it's just the Charge(s).
