Charge 3 brightness is too low

I can't read the time or steps on my Charge 3 because the brightness is so low. I found where to bring the brightness up one time and did it. So why is it so low again. Also I forgot how to get there. Thanks! Callie!

swipe left all the way to settings, then brightness, change it to normal for a brighter screen

For me doesnt work. I tried to re configured and doesnt work

i eliminated from the app and tried to uploaded again but i can't because i cant even seen the new number on the screen 

connected to computer, press on the left bottom, nothing works..and there any telef to support here in spain and monitoring from the Spanish support team

Mine appears to be quitting on me, too.

...And it's not that old.


Doesn't solve the problem, it looks like the display might be dying. It's only 15 months old.

Im having exactly the same issue. Despite my settings being on Normal the display is gradually getting dimmer. Sometimes I can’t read the screen at all.

Thank you for responding. I have given up and ordered a different tracker.
It's ashamed because the device still works fine, I just can't see my clock
and other features on my fitbit.

I have a Charge 3 as well with a screen that's faded to black and useless to me.  This is my third Fitbit.  I like them--when they work, but I don't like their less than stellar lifespan.  I would love to simply upgrade to a new model, but I'm very reluctant to do so at this point.  Problem is, I'm not sure what a comparable substitute would be and product reviews on some I've looked into range from terrible to wonderful.  

What did you wind up buying, Callie?

My display is vey dim on the edges and totally unreadable in the center. I tried troubleshooting with tech support support this morning and the result was telling me that after less than a year my Charge 3 is out of warranty. Big help.

I bought the Charge 5. Only had it a couple days. While I'm happy to get my
screen light back and clock, I'm finding the other things on here hard to
work or don't work.. I don't really need a lot though. I would not buy if
you are a serious athlete. I got it on sale for $129. That's why I went
ahead and bought.

Thanks for the reply!

I may take advantage of the holiday sales and get one too.  Hard to
decide between the Charge and the Luxe and Inspire models which look
nice too.  I just won't expect either to last too long--another reason
for looking at the cheaper models.  A coworker has the Versa, and after
asking her if she liked it, she said she did, but features that used to
work no longer do.  So frustrating!

Amazon sells the replacement battery for the charge 3 for $15. There is a you tube video showing how to replace it.

Wish I'd known this sooner. Didn't know it was a battery problem. I've
already purchased a Charge 5. Actually liked the Chrage 3 better.
