Side button will not respond, tried rebooting from unit, no success, checked latest software update.  Tried to restart connected to charger, but since this requires holding the button, it will not work as the button is the problem

I’m really sorry to hear that @madmark300 . I can only suggest calling Fitbit Customer Service and hopefully they can get it sorted out for you. You can reach them here: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US

Hello @madmark300

‘Have you tried restarting your Charge 3 by going through the Charge 3 screen instead? I’m hoping your screen wake screen setting is on and you just turn your wrist toward you to turn the screen on.

If you can access your screen look at this YouTube video that helps you restart your Fitbit: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uda47FUnzQQ

Look at the button closely on your Charge 3. Do you see any debris? Try taking a toothpick and gently work it around the button and see of you can loosen any dirt or debris that might be stuck.

I hope this helps. Please let me know

Thanks for your reply.  Unfortunately I have tried this and the problem remains that the side button doesn’t work

If the button on your Charge 3 is not responding, I'd recommend to perform a long restart by following the steps below:
Connect the device to the charging cable.
While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
The device turns on and shows a battery icon.

Regards,

Will
