Charge 3 calorie count changes when I edit type of exercise

When I log an activity that I have already completed my calorie count changes. If I change the type of activity, it changes again, even though the duration and heart rate didn’t change at all. For example, I labeled 5 hours of activity that I did yeah as kayaking and it increased my total calories for the day by about 400 calories and showed 1387 calories during the exercise. If I change it to walking it changes calories burned to 555 for the exercise and brought my overall calorie burn down by about 400 from the original. If I change it to running it changes calories burned to 2218. Why is it doing this?

It's just adjusting the calories you burn based on the activity you were doing. If you run for an hour you'll burn more calories than if you walk. It can estimate your calorie burn based on your heart rate and which activity you do.
