Charge 3 calories burned amount too high

I joined Fitbit almost 6 years ago. During this time I've owned two Fitbit One trackers and now the Fitbit Charge 3.  The first One model helped me successfully lose over 30 pounds before I got accidentally sent through the washing machine. The second One has helped me lose another 10-15 pounds. Other than a weaker battery, it still works.

I have allowed some of my lost weight to creep back and need to regain control of my exercise again. I recently purchased (last week) the Fitbit Charge 3. I've been wearing it all this week and almost immediately noticed it is showing much higher calorie burn than what my One calculated.

Of course I understand the One only tracked my steps/stairs etc. and didn't factor in heart rate as the Charge 3 does. But with regards to my diet and exercise, I do just about the same thing each and every day (including my meals).  I also keep a daily diary and make notes. Also, I'm syncing with MyFitnessPal and using MFP to track my food. As an example.

During the whole of last week (18 - 22 March) I used my FB One.  Here's some of the details:
Monday - 18 Mar - 11,401 Steps - 599 Calories from Exercise
Tuesday 19 Mar - 10,768 Steps - 519 Calories from Exercise
Wednesday 20 Mar - 11,674 Steps - 522 Calories from Exercise
Thursday 21 Mar - 13,613 Steps - 657 Calories from Exercise
Friday 22 Mar - 12,007 Steps - 513 Calories from Exercise

This week I've started using the Fitbit Charge and noted the following:

Monday - 25 March - 12,462 Steps - 1048 Calories from Exercise
Tuesday - 26 March - 13,051 Steps - 1389 Calories from Exercise
Wednesday - 27 March - 12,448 Steps - 1,033 Calories from Exercise
Thursday - 28 March - 12,095 Steps - 926 Calories from Exercise

As you can see, the amount of burned calories is almost double.  My Monday-Friday daily exercise consists of only walking and I walk the exact same outdoor course/path twice each day at around the same time each day.

Again, I understand there is a difference between how the Charge 3 and One function.  But I can't for the life of me imagine there would be this big of a difference.  In other words, there is no way the Charge 3 is accurate and therefore no way I can rely on it to help me achieve my goals.

First, there was NOTHING wrong with my subject line.  It was actually perfect since it very much described the issue.  Charge 3 calories burned amount too high (WAY HIGH).

Second, the links you provided tell me absolutely NOTHING regarding my issue.  As I pointed out, I had very good success with the Fitbit One.  I had my setup to lose two pounds per week and based on the tracking I did, that's about spot on for what I experienced.

The examples I provided between the week with using the Fitbit One versus the Charge 3 would most likely cause me to gain weight if I ate based on the results.

There are plenty of other examples in these forums which prove there are major flaws with the Fitbit Charge 3.  These canned responses provided by the so called moderators don't help matters.  Oh well.

My fitbit charge 3 shows calorie burns of 2.5k plus daily . This is no where close and all is correctly set up as per the links shared earlier.

It has even shown crossing 3k plus which doesnt make sense
