I have recently purchased a Charge 3 for my wife and have been reviewing it over the last few weeks. There seems to be some problems with the recordings of the calories burned as it is recording calories burned of around 3000 every day, whilst she is exercising a couple of times per week, this number is hugely above what I would expect to be recorded especially on rest days.
I have double checked the height/ weight age settings what else do I need to check to getting these recordings more accurate before I decide to return the product
Thank you

Calories burned include those burned at rest in addition to any activity.

Hello there @Bugster1975, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided and for double checking the weight and height.
As my friend @SunsetRunner said, track calories burned through activity your Fitbit also tracks your BMR calories. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep). They are calculated from the profile settings for age, height, weight. So you don't need to be wearing your Fitbit to get them. What you are seeing includes the total BMR calories burned since midnight. For more information, see: How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?
