Charge 3 calories information inaccurate

Just come back from a 20KM bike ride. Have synced Fitbit and my calories seem way too low. It’s shows I burned 350 calories during exercise but my total calories burned is only 800 and it’s 12PM. Then every time I sync that figure keeps dropping rather than going up?

The app updated this morning to could possible be a bug but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Steve

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

However, the problem I was having was that after a 20km bike ride, my calories “burnt” was going down rather than up. So the following day when I did nothing, I actually burnt more calories.
For others having the same issue, the cause was when linking “Strava” to my Fitbit. I just deleted the account on Strava but noticed before that when creating a Strava account it automatically sets your age, height and other factors to 0. I’m guessing that this maybe the reason for the calories going down rather then up but i didn’t trial this as I deleted Strava instead. I found Fitbit to be more detailed than Strava unless you pay for premium.

It's great to see you around, @SteveGraysmark.

I am sorry for the delay in response and appreciate your question. Calorie burn is based on two factors: your basal metabolic rate (or BMR) and activity tracked by your device. For more information about this, I recommend checking the article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?.

Let me know if you need anything else. 🙂
