The screen of my old charge 3 recently corrupted and Fitbit very kindly sent me a replacement.
My old fitbit is currently buried deep in the garden bin at least 50 metres from my house.
When I try and set up my new fitbit, it always finds the tracker in the garden and sends the code to that device...even when my new device is directly next to the phone and plugged into the charger.
How can I stop it from connecting to the old device and why is it sending the code over to that device when it's so far away as oppose to the new one?
I still haven't set up my new fitbit and its incredibly frustrating.

First remove the old tracker from your account, then add the new one. On phone app,
Profile Pic > Charge 3 > trash can in upper right corner.
Then, maybe not necessary but to be sure, go to phone's bluetooth to make sure old tracker is not there. If it is, unpair it.
Then, still logged into the same account, add the new tracker.

Hello @EmmaC05, welcome to the community forums! @JohnnyRow, it's great to see you around and thanks for your input!
Thank you for the information and the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior to posting! As @JohnnyRow mentioned, it could be possible that your old Charge 3 is still connected to your phone's Bluetooth. So, in order to remove the connection between your phone and Fitbit device, I recommend performing the following steps:
1. Tell your phone to "forget" the Bluetooth connection to your Fitbit device:
2. On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
3. Tap the information icon or gear icon next to the name of your Fitbit device.
4. Find the option to forget the device.
After this, please ensure to setup your new Fitbit device, you can do this by following the steps provided in the link below:
How do I set up my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps!
