Charge 3 can't read the screen

The issue I am having with my Fitbit Charge 3, is I can read it well.....indoors.  Outdoors....can't read a thing!  I looked over the recommendation(s) (connect with the charge cord, press the button, wait, and so on....) but that does not help.

I have a feeling that it's another one of those Fitbit shortcomings that can't be fixed.  Similar to the battery losing it's life, just need to invest in a new Fitbit, or similar device.

Wouldn't it be nice if they would give you, say, $100 credit towards the purchase of a new Fitbit?

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @JayFB2.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for trying to resolve the issue before contacting us.

In addition to the regular restart, you can perform a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Please make sure Sleep Mode and Do Not Disturb (DND) are turned off. For instructions on how to navigate your Tracker, please visit this article.

Hope this helps.
