Charge 3 can't sync with phone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I managed to setup my Charge 3 but suddenly it's stop sync. Then, I delete the sync, however, when I want to setup again, the Bluetooth unable to detect the Charge 3. Trying all steps given but still failed until today (almost 3 days trying all the steps). I'm using Note 9, even I asked my friend to install on his Iphone 11, still facing the same issue.

Is it the Charge 3 bluetooth is too weak to detect? Kindly advise

@izzy73 It's good that the community is growing!

Let me help you with this and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You don't mention which steps you followed exactly so I suggest you try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

@izzy73 are you trying to pair it from the bluetooth settings area on your phone? The link is manages from the Fitbit app, you can't setup the tracker from the phone but need to use the Fitbit app for this.

Keep me posted.

Hi

I've also tried all the steps including deleting app and telling phone to "forget device".  Now when I re-install the app it's not even coming up with the message to pair phone & tracker.  Can't see anywhere on the app to tell it to pair.  This is really frustrating. Phone can't even "see" fitbit now in bluetooth settings.

Fitbit version is 28.20001.88.11

iOS version is 14.3

Fitbit App is 3.36 (1013)

Please advise - Thanks

I’ve been having similar issues. Charge 3 will not connect to phone, but if I restart my phone it will connect. It only connects that one time and then I have to restart my phone again the next time I walk. This has been going on for sometime. I would appreciate any help.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I was having the same issue and that fixed it.

I replied to a couple posts above, but try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. This issue has arisen for me before and an uninstall/reinstall and/or update usually works.

The uninstall/reinstall did not work. I did see in other forums that there might be an issue with certain phones no longer being supported by Fitbit. Is that an issue? I am using Android 10. The phone is an LG Stylo 5.
