Charge 3 cardio zone are inaccurate and the screen is dim

My tracker has been saying my heart beat is between 117 and 137 a minute when my pulse has actually been between  63 and 73. I've tried to reboot but it doesn't make any difference and it won't do the 15 second reboot either. What with that and a dim screen and it doesn't notify phone, texts etc do you think it's at the end of it's life?

Hello @GillJoy. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you very much for the detailed information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. Regarding the screen brightness and notifications, I'd recommend making sure that your Charge 3 hasn't gone into sleep or DND mode. When any of these settings are activated:

  • Notifications don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • Turning your wrist won't cause the tracker’s screen to turn on.

To change this, press and hold the button, and swipe left to access the quick settings screen. Tap a setting to turn it on or off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

If that doesn't help, I recommend contacting our Support Team for further assistance and they will also be able to review the behavior of your Charge 3 and provide you with more information about your question. Note that you can contact them through chat or over the phone, but phone wait times have been longer than normal, so I recommend initiating a chat. Click here to get connected.

Please make sure to explain all the inconveniences, including the heart rate zones issue and mention the troubleshooting steps you've tried, this way they can assist you from there and give a prompt resolution.

See you around.
