Welcome on board @Chris2012, it's nice to see you around here! I totally understand your point. Note that the devices on this list have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone meets the minimum operating system requirements. Note that the majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products.

So, I'd recommend giving the setup flow a try to see if you can successfully connect your tracker.

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with.

This is very frustrating!  I just got the Galaxy S10 yesterday, and I've been trying all different ways to get my fitbit charge3 to sync.  I had no idea until I read it in this forum that the two were not compatible!

Welcome on board @Mojostracker! I totally understand how your feel.

While reading your post I was wondering if your Galaxy S10 is running Android Pie (9.01)? If so, we’re aware of this ongoing issue and have been working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

However, we have some updated troubleshooting suggestions we'd like for you on Android Pie (9.0) to try.

First, turn off Background Restrictions/Limitations: Phone settings > Apps & Notifications > Fitbit app > Background restrictions or Background limits.

Then, disable battery limitations:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Advanced > Battery > Battery optimization
  2. Change view to All apps
  3. Search for Fitbit app
  4. Choose Not optimized

Please give the steps above a try to improve syncing with your Fitbit device and Android 9.0 OS. We're still researching and testing out long-term solutions to this ongoing syncing issue. We thank you for your patience while we continue to work on this effort.

Let me know if there's anything else I may do to assist you in the meantime.

Just bought an Charge 3.  It won't connect to Samsung Galaxy S10e in exercise more.  I've read all the canned responses about S10s not being supported yet.  As someone else posted, how can fitbit not keep up with the latest top selling flagship devices?  I tried all of the suggested actions.  I just spent good money on your product and it is presently useless to me. What is fitbit doing to address this?

coming from an iPhone and apple watch, I had no idea these issues existed with android and Fitibit Charge 3.

Today I was just about to order the Fitibit Charge 3 but I though I'd google it first, and I found this post. So I didn't order it.

Is there a way I can get notified when/if there will ever be support for the Galaxy s10 plus?

Thanks

Welcome on board @Wjlst and @aristosv! Thank you for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit environment, customer service and devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.

Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.

At this time we don't know when this issue will be resolved, but rest assured we will keep you all posted.

On the other hand, we don't have an estimated time on when this device will be added to our list. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Welcome to the Community Forums @Bestmommy143! As mentioned above, the Galaxy S10 Plus is not a supported device with the Fitbit app. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

However, since you used to sync your Charge 3 with your phone, I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps at: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I'll be around if there's anything else I may do to assist you in the meantime.

Hello @Mojostracker, thanks for coming back! I'm glad to hear that your Charge 3 is now syncing to your Samsung S10 Plus.

However, keep in mind that this phone is not yet officially supported with our Fitbit devices what means that we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update.

Let me know if you have any questions present, I'll be around.

Thanks! My S10+ would find the charge 3 and that is it. I haven't been
able to set it up ever to use as a watch. I'll try it again and see if I
have luck like you!

My charge 3 works well with my s10+ as well.  Even the Connected GPS feature where I start a walk on my charge 3 actually connects to my phone and starts now (did not work last year).
