Charge 3 compatibility with Samsung S10

Does anyone know for sure if the Fitbit Charge 3 is compatible with the Samsung S10 phone?  I do not want to buy the Charge 3 if I will not be able to get it to work with my phone.

Welcome to the Community @Arlene64! At this moment Samsung Galaxy S10 is not yet a supported device with the Fitbit app. To see the list of supported devices, check: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

 

Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. 

 

You can always take a look at the help articles: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? or Why won't I sync my Fitbit device? 

 

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

We don't have an estimated date about when this device might be added to our list. Note that our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. I got a S10 two months ago. No problems with the charge 3. I had an s6 and syncing was often a nightmare. Love both the S10 and Cgarge 3. My wife also has both.

Hello there @bballjer! I'm glad to hear that your Charge 3 is syncing with your Samsung S10 with no problems. 

 

If your Charge 3 is having syncing difficulties with your S6, please following the troubleshooting steps provided at: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? 

 

Since you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it. Your phone isn't managing other Bluetooth connections. If you have multiple Bluetooth products like speakers or headsets paired to your phone along with your Fitbit device, you may have trouble using more than one at the same time. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.

Charge 3 will sync with Galaxy S10.  Connected GPS will not work for any normal use case.  It only works when Fitbit app is open and active.  If the screen goes off or you switch to another app connected GPS no longer works on the S10.

really frustrated because when I first got my charge 3 in april its synced to my s10+ but now it's not compatible this isnt right and really should be fixed asap it's not fair that we cant completely use the app because you guys cant keep up with the new phones but then again I think I saw the new apple phone listed so it's just us android people who are left out?

I a Charge 3 and I have a Samsung Note 10+5G, I was having issues last night syncing the device with my phone but then again I was tired and didn't have the patience to sit there and set it up. This morning it sync without any issues.

Why would the Samsung S10 be compatible to bbalijer's fitbit but I can't get my email/text notifications on my Charge 3?

yea mine will sync too but it wont connect to my bluetooth at all

is the galaxy s10/10+ ever going to be added as a compatible device with the charge 3 it will sync but I cant connect to my bluetooth and its really frustrating I've had my charge 3 since may now

Mine is still working great. Every few weeks notifications stop and I log off app, reboot watch, reboot phone, login to app and all is good again. Don't know if all steps necessary but only takes a minute to do them all. Logging out of app does seem necessary but I can't prove that.

I got my S10 a few weeks ago and I haven't had any issues with my Fitbit Charge 3 until this past Monday.  I have only received half of my notifications.  If it is not supported with the S10, why was it working for weeks and suddenly stopped?  Frustrating
