Charge 3 connects to Android phone Bluetooth but not Windows 10 PC Bluetooth

My Fitbit app is on my Windows 10 PC. 6 days ago on May 3rd the Charge 3 stopped syncing. I could still see the device in the Windows 10 Bluetooth app. I disconnected it and toggled Bluetooth thinking that might help but now Bluetooth can't connect the C-3. I reset the C-3 from the settings on the display but no luck. I can see the Fitbit Base station in Bluetooth but not the C-3 device. Very frustrating. I can't think of anything I haven't tried except uninstalling the Fitbit app and I don't see how that will help if Bluetooth can't see the C-3.

 

The Charge 3 does connect successfully to my Android phone Bluetooth when I turn the phone's Bluetooth app on.

If the Charge 3 is still connected the phone's bluetooth you won't be able to connect to the pc?

In reality if the tracker synced recently through the phone there is no reason to sync through the PC. Either way the sync, syncs with your account in the cloud. Then the app or pc displays what has been sent to the cloud.

Thanks Rich. The phone can connect to the C-3 using Bluetooth but my windows 10 pc bluetooth no longer can. Because the app couldn't sync the C3 on my pc, I removed the C3 from bluetooth and toggled bluetooth thinking it might reset the connection but bluetooth only sees the fitbit base station.  I turned on bluetooth on my phone to test for connectivity with the C3 and the device immediately connected to my phone. Here's a rough chronology:

 

1. C3 stopped syncing on May 3 but I hadn't tried syncing until May 7.

2. When I tried to sync, the app on my pc couldn't discover the C3.

3. I looked at pc bluetooth and saw both fitbit base station and Charge 3 but the app couldn't discover the C3.

4. To test C3 and bluetooth, I enabled bluetooth on my phone and it saw the C3 immediately.

5. I manually reset the C3 using the settings option on the device but it didn't work.

6. I reinstalled the app but that didn't help either.

7. I've tried removing the dongle and reinserting it as well several times.

 

Thanks for responding to my issue and I apologize for the length of this response. I'm following good troubleshooting practices without success. I'd like to have the functionality because I exercise a lot and like to track how I am doing.

Rich, I disconnected my Charge 3 from the phone's bluetooth and shut the bluetooth service off on the phone. I paired the C3 with my phone to ensure that the C3 bluetooth worked properly, Now I'm only trying to pair with my PC.

I think my message is misleading. I was able to pair with an android phone but not Windows 10. This has changed and now I can't pair with either. I think my Charge 3 has failed and can no longer use Bluetooth pairing.
