My charge 3 is logging 60+ sets of stairs a day that I am definitely not climbing. Is there a way to reset or calibrate the Fitbit so that the pressure/altitude sensor can be accurate again? The crazy stair count is throwing off all of my daily goals and calorie counts.

Mine started doing this recently as well. I currently have 19 set of stairs and that didn't happen.

I’m having the same issue. I just purchased a charge 3 after having a charge 2 for a couple years. Over the past few days there have been wildly inaccurate floor counts on my new charge 3.
Hoping there’s a response that will help all of us.

We climb/walk a 500' elevation hill, my wifes stair count is about 60 and mine is over 110. Similar stride, exact same course, both of us have FB Charge 3's that are less than 6 months old.
Why the wild variations in stair count?? Any suggestions?

My Charge 3 (which is now dead - first went black and the replacement will no longer hold charge) seem to have the same issue but intermittent. I couldn't figure it out. I would play soccer on a flat field and end up with 40 flights of stairs. My guess was that it was wind related where when I run from a period of low gust to a period of strong winds, I thought I noticed the stair count would go up.

I have seen the floor count shoot up when I'm really working out hard and sweating. 40 minutes on an elliptical or treadmill at 85% of HR and I may have 40-60 floors recorded.
Does anyone know how to suppress the counting and display of floors since the altimeter is so wonky and can't handle moisture from sweat? I don't want to look at my stats and see a big fat lie every time I work out.
