I've had the strangest issue now with two Charge 3s and data being all over the place. With my first Charge 3, which is just over a year old, I started noticing that when I would go for a run and not tell it that I was running, it would widely over-count my steps and calorie burn (like by double). However, when I would sync it with the app, it would go to a more reasonable and expected number. Yet, the data on my Charge 3 would not stay consistent. The app data remained consistent. But the data on my device was jumping around to huge numbers, back to the more realistic numbers, etc. I would get notifications that I'd met my calorie burn goal early in the day before I had even done a workout. I tried everything I could find online--restarted, checked for firmware updates, etc. and finally decided that it must just be done and broken. So, I ordered a new Charge 3. I've had it for just a couple of weeks and it's doing the exact same thing! The other day, I had literally been sitting and doing nothing all day and my Charge 3 said I had burned almost 3000 calories. Syncing with my app fixed it temporarily, but the numbers on my device were still jumping around. Today it's happening again. Expected, static data presentations on my app, changing and widely unrealistic data on my device. I can't figure out how to fix it. I've done all of the things again, but I'm just going to send the new one back and am now wondering if there is a fix for my old one? I'm not convinced that I have the latest firmware update even though the app and "fitbit connect" on my laptop both seem to think I do. Help? If there isn't a fix, I think it will be time for me to move on from Charge 3s as buying a new one didn't fix it!
