I was wondering is anyone else has experienced this. I have had my fitbit for about 5 months and all of a sudden for the past 3 days it dies after 1 day. Last night I charged it to 99% before bed, and when I woke a few hours later the low battery indicator was flashing. I charged it again before I left for work and turned off the herat rate monitor, notifications, screen wake, and change the light setting to dim and after 6 hours its already at 33%. I've also tried rebooting it several times to see if that would help, but there has been no change. I love my fitbit, but I'd really hate to have to buy a new one already. Any help would be appreciated.

I am
having the same issue. Bought my Charge 3 in January and the battery life was great, lasting almost a week! Just last week I can’t discovered it was dying during the day (from fully charged in the morning to 30% by 2:00) and will hardly be charged by the next morning. So frustrating having to charge twice in the day to keep it going. Being my first Fitbit I’m incredibly disappointed in the battery life.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @csaw1988! Please take a look at the help article Why isn't my battery charging? and follow the instructions provide there.
We recommend to charge your trackers via the USB port over a wall adapter. However, it is also possible to charge your Fitbit tracker with a UL certified wall adapter. What may actually cause damage to the tracker's battery (either on a computer or a wall adapter) is the charging time, which if excessive over time may damage the battery and therefore cause quick battery drain or prevent the tracker from charging at all.
Tips to best charge Fitbit trackers are:
For charging purposes, your charging cable can be plugged into any USB power source, including but not limited to:

Thank you for the response. However, my Charge 3 still won’t hold a charge. I have to charge it twice a day to keep it going throughout the day. I’m not impressed with the poor battery life as it is only two months old. To confirm I only charge it via USB port on my laptop

What was done??? How did you fix this??? I’m having the same problem: the wake/notifications screen keeps popping up and it drains the battery. I don’t see a solution here to this specific problem. Could you all share? Seems like many people are having this same issue but I’m not seeing a solution that matches this problem...thanks

I contacted Fitbit support via their Twitter account. They are sending me a replacement (they looked up the info reported by the Fitbit Charge 3. It was charged at 100% at 12pm and depleted to 23% by 5pm). I recommend contacting their direct support line via Twitter (like I did) or by phone. They shipped out the replacement same day. Of course, it's going to take a week to arrive...but at least it'll be a fresh start.

I am also having this problem. For past several months the charge on my charge 3 has decreased in time before the low charge icon appears. It now does not last more than 6 to 8 hours. Totally unacceptable that will not last at least one day. Does anyone have an answer other than to ask for a replacement? Considering changing to an Apple watch if can not get a fix. Device way too expensive to not last longer. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hello there @cmbmmm! I am sorry to hear that you are going through this situation.
I'd recommend restarting your Charge 3 one more time. Then, let your device to run out of battery to charge it again. Keep an eye on it to see how the battery goes. You can also see, Can I improve my Fitbit device's battery life?
Keep in mind that what may actually cause damage to the tracker's battery (either on a computer or a wall adapter) is the charging time, which if excessive over time may damage the battery and therefore cause quick battery drain or prevent the tracker from charging at all.
Give this a go and let me know the outcome, I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

I have a Fitbit Alta and lately when my battery gets to half it does. Now my battery is still in the green and it still dies. When I put it on the charger, my Fitbit shows that it had a full battery and it still dies. I’ve already had to charge it twice today and each time I put on the charger, it keeps showing me that I have a full battery. It’s very annoying!

I have the same issue, on my replacement charge 3... It was fully charged then 6 hours later showed the low battery warning. I only just got a replacement! The original one I had before could hold battery up to 5-6 days (which was awesome)!

I'm having the same trouble and bought my Fitbit a little over a year ago and I'm frustrated because I don't want to spend another $200 on a watch that's going to do the same thing in a year.

I’ve had my Fitbit charge 3 since Christmas and until this week I’ve only had to charge it once a week at most. Since the weekend it’s needed charging after 3 or 4 hours and this afternoon it ran out after an hour and a half. I’ve tried resetting and following all the other steps on the page that you linked to. I’m very disappointed can you help?

My advice is to buy an Apple watch. I never got any useful help from fitbit
