Charge 3 dim screen, brightness set to normal, and not in sleep mode

The screen on my charge 3 is super dim. I struggled to get to settings and toggled the screen between normal and auto. I can't see anything when it's on auto... it's not on sleep mode either. Is the light dying?

@Pep88 @Jrappbagel Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your Charge 3 screen being too dim and thank you for checking your tracker's settings. Try restarting your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.

Let me know how it goes.

I’m also having this issue and the solution offered did not work.

I had the same issue. No solution other than Fitbit telling me my device is defective, and since it is out of warranty, I would have to buy a new one. They offered a 35% off code which I cannot use on their website. This is my second defective Charge 3.

@AlvaroFitbit So I guess since you haven't responded in the last 72 hours, this was your only solution?

I can now barely see anything on the Fitbit in the dark. It's just over 1 year and this should not be happening....

Same problem. Did the reboot and it is still really dark. Can't see anything. Is there any other solution, or just consider it dead?

Need to them go to settings and toggle from dim to normal.

@RDAPHD  you get an A for effort and an F for execution. 😜 As stated in the topic, birtghtness set to normal, not dim or auto. Also sleep mode isn't on.  Basically the light started to dim over the last couple weeks.  I can't see anything on it anymore, even in the dark in the room.

Same problem here, too.

Didn't work.  I've tried this. Fitbit support couldn't (or wouldn't) help me. Should be a simple instruction (happened a couple of years ago), but all rep wanted to do was to have warranty team check it.

Same problem. Last time I had issues and I went to a couple of stores, they recommended forgetting Fitbit and switching to Apple watch. I just want a basic tracker that works, not a large watch.

I did that but it didn't hold.
