Fitbit worked fine until update now screen is dim and unusable outside. It’s outside warranty so been offered 35% off new Fitbit. Not acceptable as not in a position to buy new, and upset as it was working fine until update. So feel it’s Fitbit software error not a warranty issue.

Go to the darkest room. If you can see the time-even if very very dim, then swipe left 4 times and you will be at “settings”. Tap the top of the screen which you should then be able to see the screen so you can choose. It took me several tries. Choose “Normal.” Good Luck!

As far as I know there isn’t a fix for that. I agree with you re outdoor use.
