Charge 3 display backwards and upside down

This morning, my charge 3 display was upside down and backwards. Also only the minutes were showing and they were grey numbers with little white lines through the numbers. So on checking help, I recharged it. It got to 99% charge (which it has consistently done for the last month or two but that is another issue). Anyways the display was showing correctly now.

Forward 2-3 hours later and the display is backward and upside down. And as above only two digits are showing grey with little white flecks through them.

Have tried recharging and pressing the button and the display has disappeared completely.

Will let it charge some more and try again later. After charging for about 1hr, display still not appearing on pressing the button.

Any ideas?

Since yesterday, I have tried many times to press the button whilst the phone is charging to no avail.

I even tried the suggested solution of charging it and pressing the button for 20s, then unclipping the charger and then re-clipping the charger. No joy. Yesterday I also tried changing the clock face and nothing happened so I changed it back.

 

The phone has buzzed 3-4 times either when I connected the USB cable to a different USB port on my computer and possibly when I pressed the button whilst it was charging. Not sure about that 2nd one.

The screen has gone blank and is not displaying anything.

The iOS app wouldn't then sync to the phone saying it could not be found. However today I started the app from the App store and it seemed to sync. But no stats were updated like steps, sleep etc even though I wore the watch whilst sleeping.

I was going to say the lights on the back of the watch were not lit, but I just checked my watch and the green light was on for seconds.

So I tried the trick of connecting it to the charger and pressing the button for 20. After unconnecting it and reconnecting it to the charge cable no joy. Also the green light is no longer lit.

 

Wish I had read this forum before buying the fitbit. May try tomorrow to get my money back from the retailer and buy an Apple watch instead.
