Charge 3 display corrupted

My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

When I went in to set up my inspire it asked if it was replacing the
charge. I told it that it was, and my data transferred just

Hi, I am having issues with my Charge 3. It has developed several lines vertically and horizontally in the display. I reset several times and it has increased. It has been 3 days, I charged it fully 2x, and it has only worsened.

When my display went bad, I contacted CS and they told me to try an
extended start, which just means holding the button for 15 seconds and
having it go through a more thorough process. When that didn't work, they
said there was nothing else to do. Mine was outside of warranty, so the
best they would do was give me a discount for the website to replace.
Others have said they were able to get return, but they had the same issue
on the replacement. Hope this helps some. Wish I could be more helpful.

I have the same issue. Mine was recieved as a birthday gift less than a year ago. The reset did not work. What now? Please help.

Replacement was the only option I was given. Mine was over a year old, so
it was out of warranty. The company would not replace it, but they gave me
a discount on their website. I went down a model because they are too
expensive to spend that much every year. Everyone's feedback also played a
part in the decision. If this one fails, I'm probably done with fitness
trackers

I also have this problem and it is spreading. I can only see a small part of the clock. Was a resolution found?

Yes they replaced my fitbit since it was still under warranty.

The only resolution was replacement. I was out of warranty, so I had to
purchase a new one. This seems to be a fairly common problem with the
Charge 3, so you may not want to replace in kind. It is a lot of money to
keep spending every year. Hope this is helpful. Sorry I don't have better
news.

Replacement most likely is the fix. Contact support either through twitter
or the website. Usually this thread is monitored by someone who will help.
But be proactive!

I hope yours is still in its year warranty. The solution was to contact
fitbit and they will send you a new one. My "new" one (not so new now) has
been just fine. So get in touch w fitbit customer service.

Good luck.

Mine was out of warranty, but I have also heard from several who have had the issue recur with the replacement. I wish you better luck with yours.

This is also happening to my charge 3. I bought mine last year and I've been noticing the step monitor getting lighter this week and today it is all nearly greyed out with two thick cylindrical lines going down the centre

That did not work for me, what should I do?

If those options don't work, then the only option I was given was replace.
If you are in warranty, then I understand they will replace it. I was out
of warranty so I had to replace myself. Good luck

Same thing happened with my charge 3 after a few weeks of usage. Now after 12 months of usage the screen is completely unresponsive. I've tried the reset process several times and it still won't work

Effective yesterday my screen is completely gone as well, entirely. I can
see nothing whatsoever.
I suggest writing directly to Fitbit Support. I think the issue has to be
glitches with the Charge 3 itself. I’ve had this Fitbit since September
when they replaced my last one for a corrupted screen. That one had lasted
me a few months as well and it replaced my original which had a line of
missing pixels.
It’s very frustrating and the only reason I continue to use Fitbit is
because they continue to give good customer service. We’ll see what
happened this time.

I have the same issue and this is my second Fitbit. It has happened to both. I have tried to reset as per the instructions but still have the same issue.
I can see it happening once but to have it happen a second time I am not impressed that the issue has happened again. I do not use it in water so that is not the issue.

Yes I am the same way. I don’t use it in water at all and I keep the
sensors cleaned as well. The Fitbit now is still syncing with my phone but
I can’t read anything on the device at all. This is my second replacement
and not one of them has lasted more than months. This current was was a
replacement from September so it lasted 3 months. I am waiting to hear what
next steps they will take now.
