Time display disappears when outside in daylight. I keep setting screen brightness but it doesn’t stay set.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Betts77.
Thanks for the details shared in your post. I recommend confirming that you don't have "Sleep Mode” turned on: press and hold the button on your device. Tap a setting to turn it off. You can change the screen's brightness in the Settings app on your device. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?
If the issue persists, try restarting your device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
By the way, I've moved your post to Other Charge Trackers board so we can keep our forums organized.
Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue. Is there a way to have the display bright enough to see when outdoors? It linits the usefulness when you can't read the information.
