Charge 3 display fading away

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

I've had my charge 3 for a while now but since the start of last week the display started fading away to the point now where it's actually just a tiny bit at the bottom that lights up (and that seems to be slowly fading too).

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @ChubbyTubbs.

I'm sorry to hear the display of your Fitbit Charge 3 is not working properly. Thank you for the information provided.

Please restart your Tracker by following these steps. If this doesn't help, you can perform a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

In addition, you can follow the steps on this article to change the clock face of your Charge 3.

I’m having the same issue. My device doesn’t allow me to hold the side button down. Is there another way to reset it?

Ever since the Firmware update, my screen has been slowly fading away. Parts of the screen became black and now I can no longer see the display. I think this is the same issue a lot of people are having. The device is still counting steps but the display is no longer working.

I have tried rebooting my device and changing the clock face as others have suggested. I tried changing the brightness settings. None of these are fixing the problem unfortunately. Is there anything else that can be done?

I haven’t had any issues with my Fitbit until this update and I’m really upset about it.

I seem to be having the same problem. I tried a couple time to reset and Chang the Face. No go.
I will say the first I noticed a problem,(a few weeks ago), it was the date/day that faded out first. Now everything is faded and unreadable. It still counts steps but I have to go to the app to see them.
