Charge 3 display fading

My Charge 3 (a gift) is less than three months. The display will come on but most times is faded and difficult to impossible to see. It is NOT a charging issue. How do I get full display all the time?

I am sorry to hear that your tracker's display is fading, have you tried the restart process? If you haven't, I recommend taking a look at the help article How do I restart my Fitbit device? and follow the instructions provided there.

Thank you so much for your inquiry. I did get the light on the screen to work. But I have another question...Shouldn't the screen light up when you quickly flip your wrist to display the time ...it does not display unless I press on the side of the device. I can't seem to find the answer online for this.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the update @Lilamom94.

It's great to hear that your display is now working. Now about your inquiry, if you have the screen wake option on you should be able to see your tracker illuminating when you raise your hand. To turn on this feature, do the following:

  1. Press the home button until it vibrates.
  2. Tap the screen wake option to turn it on.

Let me know how it goes. Smiley Wink

Hello,

my fitbit charge 3 is only 5 months old (not even) and the top part of the display is faulty, not sure if that can be called fading as it seems more like some of the pixels are not working anymore making black lines over the step counter... how could I get this fixed or replaced?

thanks

My Charge 3 screen has been dim for most of the time I’ve had it 6 months now. Tried resetting it several times and changing clock faces, nothing makes it brighter . Thinking of returning and asking for a replacement .

I have tried a restart multiple times.  No change in the issue with my Charge 3.  Attached is a photo of the display, iDisplay Issue on Charge 3.Display Issue on Charge 3.f this might help to resolve.  KM

Mine started like this then eventually died... I’m waiting for my 3rd replacement now... (1 screen died, 1 didn’t charge and the last one loses battery very quickly and the button is faulty). I’m hoping the 4th one will work..

Fitbit Corp stepped in, asked me a couple questions, then sent me a form to replace my unit. All good now.

I have tried everything from restart to change the clock face, nothing is helping. No screen display, no vibrations the tracker is dead.

This also happened to me just suddenly this morning. And I’m concerned about it getting worse and it dying. My charge three is not very old.  Already tried all of the restarting things suggested. Really like Fitbit and prefer not to have to change to Apple Watch or something similar but if it dies again that may be the only option.

I did indeed, but my device was under warranty (they had to replace 3
devices altogether...)
