My Charge 3 (a gift) is less than three months. The display will come on but most times is faded and difficult to impossible to see. It is NOT a charging issue. How do I get full display all the time?

It sounds like what happened to mine. If you have tried all the suggestions in this thread and nothing worked, then suggest getting onto the customer service live chat. Let them know what you have already done and they will still take you through other steps. If faulty and still under warranty they were very good with me. I sent my complaint early last week and received my new replacement 2 days ago. Best of luck!

I rebooted twice, once on my wrist and another on the charger. Neither brightened the display. I have had a Charge 3 for a couple years.

Not sure how my screen went to sleep, but I noticed it had gone dim and was not turning on when I gestured my wrist. I was not receiving notifications. I just tried the solution above, pressing home button and tapping the screen to wake option. My screen has returned to normal light.

I have tried the "best answer" which is to do a restart and it just got worse. Once again Fitbit has let me down. At first it was the issues with the bands breaking, now you can get a replacement; but how to replace a fading display other then getting another fitbit. I have a friend who works at HP and she days that these companies makes this to last for so long so that you are forced to buy another device.

Mine has also faded to the point where it is mostly unreadable and none of the restart processes help. This is already a replacement and feeling just need to move on to an Apple watch at this point as I am tired of having to replace them, even if it is for free or reduced price

I have the same problem. Dim screen, have to tap screen numerous times, stopped turning on when i flip my wrist . I have 4 different Fitbits through the years and never liked the Charge 3 as much as the Charge 2 or even the Alta. I think its a defective product.

Yes that is another one of the issues. They only last until they are out of warranty

Hi, Alejandra
I'm having the exact same issue as him, when I do the restart steps and restart my device, the screen is still faded and broken. Are there any fixes that I can get for this?
Thanks Oli

My Charge 3 is doing the same thing. The display has been very faint for a few months now. I got it for my birthday in January last year so it’s less than a year old. I’ve had previous for it trackers that never did this. I tried to reset it from your instructions but nothing is belong. I really can’t read what is displayed it’s so faint. How do I request a replacement?
Thank you,
Michele

Hello, I see multiple comments about the Fitbit Charge 3 read out data fading. This started on my 18 month old device two days ago and is deteriorating rapidly. I see that the number and live chat for Fitbit is unavailable and I don't have twitter. Multiple resets didn't work. The same thing happened with my Charge 2 device although it lasted 2 years before I had to bin it. Are the Fitbit devices simply poor quality? Thanks

I am having a similar problem. Fitbit Charge 3 purchased within last 12 months. Display has started to fail from the top of the screen and is now only half visible. Have attempted a restart and no improvement seen.
