Charge 3 display fading

My Charge 3 (a gift) is less than three months. The display will come on but most times is faded and difficult to impossible to see. It is NOT a charging issue. How do I get full display all the time?

Hi,

 

Mine is the same only it has a few black lines across the top too. Tried all of the suggestions i can find and nothing has worked. Only had it since christmas....can you help me?

Their best offer - after your warranty is out - is X% off a new fitbit. Since I really like mine, I bought another but with a $15 fee I added the additional warranty as the charge 3 is SUPER cheap right now.

I got in touch with the customer service staff and they were simply excellent! They arranged a replacement device to be shipped to me. I did not make it easy for them either as I am not in the country where I bought it and won’t be able to get back there for a while due to Covid 19 travel restrictions and that is where all the purchase documentation is too. They were incredibly understanding. Thank you Fitbit.

Restarting didn’t fix my faded background. My display screen is also smaller. Can you help?

The only problem is that I’ve owned this Fitbit since the Christmas before last. It deco your of Warranty. I was hoping there was some action that could be done to the device to fix it. Seems like replacing it, or finding another product is my only option.

Contact fitbit , and claim for replacement, that's mandatory not an option

My Charge 3 looks exactly the same.  I put it on the Charger last night and as it vibrated to show the charging screen, the screen went white.  This fitbit is less than a year old.  Tried the restart, change clock face but nothing fixes the screen whiteness.


How does one get in touch with Fitbit to report this?

I contacted Fitbit customer service. My device was out of warranty but they gave me a 35% discount on a new one.

Its the original, however we dont have a service point in Sri Lanka!

My screen has completley faded, tried restarting but still not working. Is there anything else that I can do?

Hi
The only thing that you need to call fitbit service asking for immediate
replacement, it's the only and best way to get your charger 3 in duty
again.

Hi MrsHammer, I had same issues with mine also.  Contact Customer Service through the website.  You can chat with them on-line.  I just contacted them today and they were great and they are sending me a replacement.  Mine is still under warranty - only bought late December 2019!   Seems it is a well known issue anyway.  Good Luck!

Fitbit Customer care responded that my Device is out of warranty.! I just followed the instructions provided by the fitbit app and upgraded to the latest firmware version. I did not throw the tracker under the bus or smash it with a hammer. The damage is not due to usage rather due to faulty patch provided by fitbit Charge 3 firmware team. Why should I be held responsible and pay for the mess created by the SW development team? I think, fitbit should take complete responsibility for this mess and clean it before it loses its customers!! Pls provide a better solution to my concern than these automated responses.

Hello, I received my Fitbit about a year ago ago and half of the screen is black and the other half if partially dark, but kind of light. How can I fix this problem? I already tried the brigtness button and the reboot button, but nothing worked.
