Charge 3 display is blank

Hi! I’ve been using a Charge 3 for a few years by now and its seems that it just suddenly stops working! I have tried to charge it and it does vibrate but does not show anything on the screen. What can I do?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Diamond_gaming. I'm sorry to hear your Charge 3 stopped working. 

To bring back your tracker's screen, please restart it:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Doesn’t work. For months now I have no visibility on my tracker. I’ve read all the forums, tried all the fixes. I still wear it to track and use the app. Everyone always wants to know why I ask for the time when I’m wearing a watch…. It’s frustrating, but buying another at this time isn’t feasible. This is my 4th or 5 tracker.

Same is happening for me too. I know it is charged and counting steps etc, as it updates and syncs with the dashboard. Tried the stated method for restarting, but doesnt work. Obviously cant reboot, as I cant see the screen and I cant find anyway of doing it from the dashboard. Cant speak to anyone as I dont use twitter

Seems this must be a built in thing so you have to buy a new device every 3 years or so

Please restart your trackers as described in this help article. After this, try changing the clock face and see if the horizontal lines disappear from the display of your trackers.

Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button.

Thanks. Tried it, without any luck lighting the display again; then changed clock face and tried again. Still no luck.😓

Yes I tried it a couple times, I see a dim smiley face but then nothing.
