Charge 3 display is fading and has lines

My watch has been getting more and more lines through the display and it’s making it difficult to read the information on the screen.  I’ve restarted till I get the smiley face and it didn’t help.  I’ve also changed my clock display and that didn’t help.  Even the restart is not working properly now!  Help!  This has been my third or fourth Fitbit already!  I don’t think I’ll be throwing any more money toward this Company if they can’t solve this problem!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Kezbuss.

I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 screen is fading and getting a lot of lines. Thank you for trying to resolve this and providing the additional details. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am glad to assist you. Since you've tried to restart the tracker and change a clock face, I would like to confirm if you've tried doing a long restart:

  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I'm having the same problem with my  charge 3 and already tried to restart it (also a long restart) and changed the clock face but nothing helped.

Hello,

I am having the same problem with missing pixels on my Charge 3.  Started with one line and within 2 weeks I can no longer read my steps on the top of the screen and now I have trouble reading the time.  I've tried all the recommended reboots, clock face change and long restart.  Nothing changed.☹️

Same! This is only month 3 since I bought the charge 3 and last week I've noticed I line across the top part with time, few days later I've discovered 3 more smaller lines in the bottom area. Tried everything.

Case Number 37729214

Hi, My case number relates the sorry tale of my similar experience in the past few days.  Basically the same fault, but mine was to a free replacement Charge3 and the one it replaced had the exact same fault.

After considerable conversation on the Help Chat (which now shows not available) I was 'given' a 50% discount on a new purchase as mine was out of Warrantly.  I have j ust found out that my Australian Warranty is GUARANTEED BY AUSTRALIAN LAW TO BE TWO YEARS.  I did not have the last Fitbit for two years although as no one at Fitbit is communicating with me I can't confirm that as they provided the replacement.

If I have had the Tracker less than two years, and in light of the fact two Trackers failed for the same reason I  would expect Fitbit to be contacting me very quickly ....... I'm not holding out much hope since I have already ordered a replacement and sent the money...

Hello my Charge 3 has been showing multiple lines of dead pixels across the screen. There is at least 7 rows of pixels which do not light up. Is there anyway to fix this? The fitbit is barely a year old. I ve tried all the steps recommended and still the same problem, kindly can you advise how to fix this 😞

Messaged the customer service on twitter. They gave me more tips how to fix it which didn't work. I've only had mine since July (for 3 months), so it's still in the warranty. They then offered a new Fitbit or 50% off a different type.

So I'd try that and you'll definitely be offered the same options.
