My Fitbit Charge 3 purchased December 2018 screen has gone gray.
I have done the hard reset (hold 15 seconds in charger, ...) and it has not improved.
What can I do to reset my Charge 3?

Unfortunately, this is a serious issue that u can not correct. Your best
bet is to call customer service and talk to a real person. Depending on how
old your FitBit is they may simply ask you to try a few tricks which
probably wont work and then approve a new one. But given that at this date
they probably have approved a gazillion replacement you may be disappointed
but it is still worth a try. good luck

Staceyam, this was the exact issue I had. Went through all the tricks and called Customer Service, spoke with a couple of people, escalating to supervisor. I was told there was nothing they could do because the device was outside the 1 year limited warranty offered. They offered 20% off a few select devices (older devices I think they were trying to get rid of). Such a bummer!

I have just charged my Charge 3 and the screen has gone from black to grey with vertical stripes .I have tried rebooting and plugging the charger in again but the screen is still the same. I followed the instructions for restart while on the charger. This has not fixed the problem. I've tried it 3 times.

My Versa went grey and now my Charge 3 has gone grey both just out of warranty. I'm done, time to move on.

I have the exact same issue. I had mine since a Dec 2018 and they offered a 25% discount. I refused to accept it. I’m going to take it to social media. They know this is an issue with Charge 3 series. Not fair to use a product barely more than a year only and they expect you to get a new one with a discount.

Good to hear your story! I tweeted the story. Maybe we can use a specific hashtag to be able to easily follow the thread. I already used #fitbit and #charge3, too general. Maybe #greyscreen?! Or something more reflective of this particular flaw?

Exact post:
#Fitbit #charge3 series , the screen goes grey soon and they only offer a 20% discount to get a new one! Well, the product lasts ONLY few months after warranty is over! Such product life management!!

If u act quickly u may be eligible to get a replacement. Call Customer
Service and speak to a real person. Tell them the issue and what u have
tried. They may ask a few questions then hopefully OK a new one. Do not
hesitate. If 1 year they will do nothin’
