Charge 3 display is grey

I have just charged my Charge 3 and the screen has gone from black to grey with vertical stripes .I have tried rebooting and plugging the charger in again but the screen is still the same.TIA for any help

Just to update you'll, the FitBit support team got back to me yesterday. After 3 emails with their representatives from the support team, my replacement charge 3 is on its way, yay! They were very efficient and quick once they replied to my email, assigned a case number and understood the problem. They did follow the standard procedure of asking to take some steps in order to resolve the situation such as following the steps to initiate long restart, changing the clock face etc. Once I tried all of the suggested methods, I got back to them via email informing them that none of those solutions fixed the issue. Later a representative from the specialized team got back to me in a few hours time, guaranteed a replacement, and sent me the link for my replacement order. So glad it worked out. Thank-you guys for all your support and guidance! Hope everyone gets their charge 3's fixed too! 🙂

I am having the same issue. Mine is 4 months old. Updated the app on my phone. Plugged it in to charge, and now I have grey stripes. I have done a hard reboot many times. Please open a support ticket for me.

My Charger 3 had gone grey,  reboot is not working.  My charge goes from 97% to 85%.  Screen is getting lighter and harder to see.

Thanks for the photo, I have the exact same issue, I had hooked it up to the charger and did a reset with no success, it did not correct the screen. The Charge 3 is 6 months old, I had not been swimming for about a month so it doesn't seem to e water related when this occurred.

I have tried to restart my charge 3 as suggested but there is still vertical grey strips. Could I please have some help/advise about how to fix ?

I have the grey lines and I have tried everything that was posted to do and still nothing. I even did my steps and it didn’t register my 2 hr.

 

 I bought Dec 2018/Jan 2019

why is this happening?

I ended up contacting tech support and was mailed a new one. I'm sorry I
don't think there is a fix.

Click on your Fitbit app icon.
Click on the square in the top right corner.
Scroll down to Help.
Click on contact customer support.

No I did not return the broken one.

I had similar problems. Contact customer service, they sent me a
replacement.

 

No, they did not ask for the old one to be sent back.

I charged up my Fitbit 3 and after it charged I had a grey box with vertical lines on the screen.

I have tried the suggested reboot but it doesn't work.

 

I bought the charge 3 because its supposed to be waterproof so I will be really disappointed if this is a water issue. I haven't swum for 4 days and don't wear it in the shower.

 

I have tried contacting customer services

I don’t believe it’s a water issue. Tech services will help you. They sent
me a replacement. Very quickly.

I have contacted the tech support dept and they are sending me a replacement. Maybe this was a bad batch that didn’t get recalled.

This is the same exact thing that has happened to my fitbit today. Any advice?

My husbands did the same thing.. After a few days of the vertical lines the fitbit started to jump from screen to screen and then it died... No green lights or anything.. A few days later I got it going again battery 100% and a couple hours later dead again, no more battery life , no green light, no vibes and no smiley face... The fitbit has died..

Call tech support, they will work with you, get a case number and take a
photo of screen with case number next to it. They will likely send you a
replacement. That is what they did with mine. Pretty quickly
