Charge 3 display is not bright enough to see

I bought my fitbit charge 3 a year abd a half ago and lately the display is so dim that I can't read anything, especially when outside. I have changed the settings from auto to normal but it hasn't made a difference. Please can you advise me on what I can do?

I have exactly the same problem and my Fitbit is the same age. The support team told me there was nothing they could do to help me. We tried to reset and that had no effect. Is there anything I can do?
