Charge 3 display is very dim

My Charge 3 display is so dim that I can’t read anything unless I’m in a dark room. I can’t see anything on the display while outside in the sunlight. I’ve tried the normal setting and the auto setting. And today my display is going completely blank. I reset it and changed the clock face. The display came back temporarily for 10 minutes then went blank again.

Give fitbit a call on their help desk. I found them very helpful.

The same happened to me. Same issues, same answers...also very disappointed. Did you get any answer since then? Or they are still working?...

My fitbit just recently went dim & can’t read it. I’ve reset it couple times & it just completely faded out! It’s only 8 months old. Mine also told me sleep not tracked on watch face but when I logged into app it reported it. Definitely some glitches in fitbit. This happened to my daughter’s fitbit 2 & she ended up getting a new Apple version.

I didnt take no for an answer.  I called and spoke to an actual human instead of their chat help.  The guy who helped me had me send in a pic of my fitbit showing the issue.  They replaced it immediately without the run around I was getting  online.

care of you.

No change, same old. I bought my wife a versa 2. I may be sorry I did from the issues we are all having.

I and my wife purchased charge 3 as it had the best reviews.  Both of them have same problem i.e dim display. Earlier I had Surge. That was full of problems. Either the company is selling stuff with less life span to ensure yearly sale or the technology is still not perfect.

Any one got this sorted, I have just been on to the live chat and basically been told that 

a) my Fitbit is out of warranty, it’s 45 days

b) I’ll just have to wait for a software upgrade

c) the Fitbit attached to my account is not the one they sent me when I ordered it!! Do they think I have a stack of them home, so either their data is wrong or they sent me a different one.

 

I am currently very unhappy as my charge 3 is not fit for purpose - it doesn’t even work as a watch as I can not see the screen when outside at all.

I have the exact same problem..it's extremely dim and I was told they need to push a software update. I was also told that they will send an email and asked me to wait for 1 week..they said that they don't have an option to replace the device even if it's under warranty..it's strange

They don’t want to change it on warranty saying that it’s a software problem, which according to them is not covered by warranty...

Also, I do not believe they will solve it in 1 week, I have this problem since beginning of December and other persons have it at least from September, with no solving until now

Software on Fitbit isn't a third-party firmware but Fitbit own..firmware updates are easy to push and they should have tons of tickets open by this time. I wish and hope they resolve the issue before I even think about moving to Garmin

I’m definitely thinking of moving. All my family got apple watches but I wanted my sleep monitoring. Any recommendations for alternative fitness/sleep trackers will be welcomed!!

It’s not a software issue and even if it is, this problem has been going on for months.  I no longer get notifications and it tells me my sleep isn’t tracked. (It is and it shows on the dashboard) notifications stopped when Apple updated to OS 13. Same stories about resets and firmware updates but no improvement. I like my charge 3 but I will looking for something else that is non-Fitbit once this one fails. I do like the sleep tracker though but I want all of it to work.

My Charger 3 has lost all light on screen. I have charged it and synced it and nothing works.

I started with a surge. My experience with the surge was not satisfactory.
I and my wife purchased two charge 3 about a year and half ago based on
reviews . About six months ago I realized that the display in day light was
a bit difficult to read. I thought it may be due to age related eye
problems. Now I can not use during day time. May be it is designed for
night time. In short my experience is not at all good with both the units.
I think they are yet to attain the perfect products. Buy only if you can
afford to waist your money.
