This is a know issues that's been reported my many, including myself. Fitbit will never care about your issue if you are out of warranty. So don't waste your time. The best that they will do is to give you a 30% discount.

It worked temporarily then did it again. It’s so aggravating when I’m trying to look at the display to get a date for work and it’s a black screen. Other days it works with a very low light.

I have put it on the charger held the button till I get a smiley face and changed my clock face. It will work for a little bit then the screen goes back to black. The light is dim when it is showing. Please advise I joined a walk team and we are entered in a contest to win prizes.

Same issue!  Tried restarting, tried changing the clock face.  Issue started with the last update.  I’m guessing you have a bug in the software.  Please help I use it constantly.

Has anyone found a solution from Fitbit on this issue?

Ive had mine since March but it was a gift so I don’t have the receipt.

Neither changing clock face or resetting has made any difference - still no screen. Just totally black.

I called the fitbit # off website in box. They said send it in and they
will replace it. It depends on where you live. I hope it doesn't happen
again.

My fitbit charge 2 stopped working. All the efforts to restore it has gone in vain. Please suggest a workable solution to this problem.

Wow how lucky are you, I did try that but sadly it didn’t work for me. I am supposed to be sending mine back for a replacement but I can’t get to the shop, I’m shielding and disabled. Sadly I’ve given up on Fitbit all together, if anyone asks me I always say don’t touch them with a barge pole as the saying goes x

My experience: I have tried the above but it didn't solve the problem. I let the watch out of battery for a few hours, then charged. Now the watch is working normally
