Hi,
My fitbit charge 3 display isn’t working. I tried the reset and changed the watch face several times and I still don't have the black display. What else can I do?

So I've had the same issue with my display growing dimmer and dimmer and the only time I can even see it is if I shine a flashlight into the light sensor. It's basically unusable in sun light and is even difficult to see inside. I tried all the solutions given and then called support. Imagine my surprise when I was told that, even though this is a known issue with this model, I did not have warranty coverage for my device because even though it was new in box and worked fine for 6mo since I did not buy it from an 'authorized' retailer I'm getting boned. Between this and the 'only ace devices can be child accounts' I've had my fill. And this time it's not an impotent gesture either. Ordered an apple watch Saturday, that will be here wed. I will never buy another fitbit product and I will make sure that everyone I know knows why.

Yeah, they'll just tell you to restart the fitbit. I now have a new error today in addition to the blank display; after taking off charge I realised the fitbit controls don't work; no response to slide up or sideways. Again, I had to restart the fitbit but if I am out and about I can't do that.
Someone screwed up big time with Charge 3 and they are not even bothering to fix it.

I'm with you on that. Mine didn't last a year. I really liked it while it worked. Came here looking for a solution but with the way this is being handled itll be my last fitbit. For 150 bucks it shouldn't have died on me for seemly no reason.

I received a replacement unit at the end of January 2020 and it failed again. Fitbit customer service just told me the best they could do per policy was offer 25% off a new device. Ugh. I don't want to stop using fitbit because my kids have Aces, but I'm sick of continuing to buy products that don't even last a full year. Who's found a more reliable replacement?

I have been having the same issue for over a month. I have changed the clock face at least five times and the issue still looms. It otherwise functions dine; charges, keeps track of steps, sends reminder to move.

Chat with a customer service rep online. They will ask you to perform some basic troubleshooting steps. I've had 2 replacement Charge 3 units at no cost because of this issue.

I see this was posted over a year ago. Did it e we get resolved? My screen stopped working...it still vibrates, and logs info (ie. steps/sleep) if I log onto my app. I’ve tried all the restarting tips and changing watch face with no luck. I even contacted support but they just told me the same things or offered me $30 off a new watch. This watch is just over a year old. It’s so frustrating!

Fitbit doesn't care. One year warranty is the game that they plan on. As a matter of fact, they want the customer to buy a new product after one year because their products only for around a year.

No, the software update does not fix this problem at all. Even though Fitbit knows about this issue, they don't seem to address this.

No they really don't. So for an update, the apple watch does very well and since I already had an iPhone it integrates amazingly. The only problem with it is the battery is only good for about a day and a half maybe. So I use that piece of junk charge 3 to track my sleep while my watch charges... FitBit lost a customer on this.
